Why men should be allowed to and enabled to become entrepreneurs
I think the reason why videogames are so appealing to men is because they are wired to fight and to achieve and when a society tries to box them in and tries to hold them captive in the cage of employment, then they just need some kind of vault to let off steam, which they in some way just have to get out.
It is one thing to criticize that playing videogames is a huge waste of time, but are you ready and willing to give young men the OPTION to run their own businesses? To take responsibility, to risk, to achieve, to learn, to fail, to get up again and try it again?
Running a business is like war. It's a war as Steve Jobs put it, to get a product on the market, before you run out of money. It's a war of not ending up being worse than an infidel by not providing for your own family. Its about long-term strategy and short-term tactics to get your product or service to the customer and not only advertise it but also successfully sell it - with at the end of the day making a profit in order to provide for oneself and ones family and in order to also put money aside for a rainy day or an emergency or accident that could occur.
Let men be men. Let them become entrepreneurs. Stop trying to fit young boys into the box of employment. Teach them how to take responsibility. Teach them how to take calculated risks. Teach them how to sell. Teach them how to advertise. Teach them how to negotiate. Teach them how to be leaders and how to ethically run a business.
Stop choking boys and young mens desire to risk and to achieve by only giving them an education that focuses solely on becoming an employee for someone else. Teach them the other option as well.
